The explanation for Simon's vote is straightforward enough. He didn't know who to vote for, so he asked to know my vote, and then copied it.

As for Haytham, you're safer not asking too many questions about him. All you need to know is that we were already acquainted, before all this.

I won't hide my own pattern. Moeka and I became friends and decided we would combine our votes for purposes of protecting ourselves. We thought... we'd take a list of the people who weren't voting, or doing much of anything, and choose randomly from them.

Given there are now four choices to be made... what would you think of possibly a similar collaboration? Your bloc and mine.

I don't see why not. That's been our strategy too: cut off the dead weight, and give the Overlord less leverage to punish the rest of us with.

Haytham and I accept your offer. We won't vote for you or Moeka, so long as you don't do the same for us. Simon Keyes is in on the alliance too, and you should know that I personally consider Nanami an ally. None of them are to be voted for.

[He extends a hand -- his uninjured left one -- for her to shake.] Do you agree to these terms?
